The Mission

People Loving Jesus

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. - 1 Peter 2:9-10 ESV

Each of us has a personal mission to make Christ real in our lives and share His grace so that others may know God's salvation. This is a lifestyle... We are commissioned daily to add value, to bring wisdom, to foster a better community... To participate with God in His Kingdom.

As THE Church we are on mission together. Not just as individuals, but a body of believers moving forward, united as one Church. Bound together to serve our community. As THE Church, as the body of Christ, we must commit to being on mission as a whole.

The Vision

Love

We know and love Jesus. It is because of His love for us and our love for Him that, together, we seek to care for the whole of society both locally and globally by actively demonstrating what it means to love and be loved by Christ.

Engage

We are commissioned daily to add value, to bring wisdom, to foster a better community... To participate with God in His Kingdom. As THE church we are on mission together... Not just as individuals... but as a body of believers moving forward as one church.

Influence

We recognize our ability and responsibility as Christ Followers to intentionally develop meaningful and lasting relationships by being generous with our faith, time, talent, and treasure with one another and with the people around us. Meeting people where they are, and taking them where Jesus wants them to go.

The Covenant

Together to be  the Church

Alongside the Pastors and Leadership, Members of SevenOaks are responsible to carry out the MISSION and VISION of the Church. Fully invested in the FOUNDATION of the local Church, commissioned to be THE CHURCH.
When you see a spiritual need, or a person who needs help, you will step out and meet the need.
When a person is sick or in the hospital, you will go, care for them, and pray for them. When someone in your sphere of influence needs Jesus, you will tell your story of redemption and salvation.
When you see a person caught in addiction or a spiritual stronghold, you will pray in faith and walk with them toward freedom from bondage.
When you see a marriage or family breaking apart, you will walk with that family, enter into the mess with them, love them, and pray with them because you are THE Church
When you see a person whose life is without purpose, you will make sure they are invited into the community of the Church so they can experience what you have experienced, the grace and love of Jesus Christ!
